Description of Practice: I am an experienced attorney whose legal practice has emphasized family law since 1985. I have handled hundreds of divorces, child custody disputes, child and spousal support matters, property issues, and restraining orders over that period of time.
I was trained in the practice of mediation in 1988 and have been helping separating couples successfully mediate marital settlement agreements ever since. I am also comfortable going to court because I realize that it is not possible to settle all cases. Some areas of the law are "gray" and both sides have a significant legal basis for their position, thus the facts in those cases must be presented to a judge so that a decision can be made.
I offer a no obligation 20-30 minute initial consultation for Sonoma County residents looking to hire a family law attorney. If you wish to make an initial appointment call my office (707-578-2336). It usually takes between 2-10 days to get in to see me.
Education Background: I graduated with honors from U.C. Riverside with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics. I graduated with high honors from Golden Gate University in San Francisco with a Masters of Business Administration degree. I graduated with highest honors (order of coif) from McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento with a Juris Doctorate Degree.
I was admitted to practice law in California in December 1984. I have practiced law in Sonoma County ever since. I attend continuing education classes in family law every year and subscribe to Family Law Monthly magazine to keep up with the current changes and trends in family law.
